Weddings are always expensive, and it's very wise to save money wherever you can.
There are many ways to save money at a wedding, but one of the best ways to save money is with the wedding table decorations.
Now, not all table decorations are the same. Usually on the bridal table the decorations are quite big and flashy, while the other tables often have smaller table decorations, such as small posy bowls, or wreaths with candles.
A great way to save money if you are using flowers in your table decorations, is to get silk flowers instead of fresh ones. In the past silk flowers didn't look as good as fresh flowers, but these days they look just as good, and can save you quite a lot of money.
One of my favorite ways to save money at a wedding is to combine the table decorations, with the wedding favors.
By this I mean that your table decorations actually become your wedding favors!
If you are making posy bowls, then simply add some lollipops or wired chocolates or other candies to the bowl (making sure you have enough for each person on the table).
Your guests can then take the candy from the table decorations for their wedding favors.
Many people are already having candy wedding favors, so why not just put the candy into a posy bowl, so the wedding favors can double-up as the wedding table decorations?
It's probably a good idea to place a few spare chocolates around the posy bowl on the table because some people always seem to want more than one!
You could have all the decorations at the tables made just out of candy, and then just add a candle in the middle, and some bows in the colors of the flowers used in the bouquets.
This will look great, and save you a fortune as well!
It also helps with cleanup- you won't have to figure out what to do with all the table decorations, because people will have eaten them all!
The main point is to be creative- and realize that you can save quite a bit of money by making your wedding table decorations out of your wedding favors.
